We need to talk about Security.
2kChat 1.0 was released in late April of this year and did the things it needed to do. The issue was that the password hashing algorithm wasn't secure enough and wasn't to my liking. The old password hashing system used SHA-256 to encrypt it's passwords, but to put it in simple terms. It was an absolute nightmare. The new system is encrypted using better methods. The downside is that your old passwords will have to be reset. Manually reset. 2kChat 1.01 will contain more security and therefore must be used.
Features.
More emojis will be added along side the security update. Clickable link support is going to be added which makes the user experience feel smoother. Invalid emails like a@a.com should no longer work with the next update as well as a more idiot proof password system{1}. A server list will be added so the user can save servers, emails, usernames, and passwords. More features will be added over the next few release candidates so don't worry if this isn't enough. You can request features at any of my social medias or Chat.net. Bugs are expected for the RC versions. You can report a bug by using any social media applications or Chat.net.
Why not more?
Most features that are planned will be released in version 1.1 as promised by the Chat.net post.
